Senior Sunrise at Webutuck
WEBUTUCK — Senior students at Webutuck High School celebrated their first week back to school with the first-ever Senior Sunrise, successfully planned by class advisors Nicole Charriez and Leah Sprague and the Senior Class Committee.
The early morning gathering was held on Friday, Sept. 10, as soon as the sun rose over the scenic fields behind the high school.
According to Senior Class Committee member Carrissa Whitehead, they “had a great turnout.” The committee plans to hold a Senior Sunset later in the school year.
Carrissa said that “the sunrise was to bring in our senior year and the sunset is to bring our high school career to an end together.”
She added the students who woke up the hour or so early to watch the sunrise together last week had a “wonderful time” together.
