Webutuck girls soccer has second shutout in a row

DOVER — Webutuck won 4-0 in an away game against Dover, their second game and second shutout of the season.The game started out like the first game of the season with no goals during the first half.“We’re not finishing in the first half, but we’re getting the goals in the second half to put teams away,” said Webutuck coach Mark Moren.Victoria Cullinan scored the first goal of the game off a penalty kick five minutes into the second half.Danielle Stoetzner made the second goal with an assist from Briana Bailey.The third goal was made by Cullinan with an assist by Kayla Kohl.The last goal of the game, made by Bailey with an assist from Brooke Dahoney, was described by Moren as a “beautiful header” off a corner kick.Moren said that his team had been practicing setting up shots like that, so “it was so nice to get the fourth goal that way.”“Overall, the girls did a great job again,” said Moren, who also noted that the defense played very strong to help earn the shutout.

Magic Fluke Ukulele Shop and True Wheels Bicycle Shop are not only under the same roof in a beautiful solar powered building on Route 7 in Sheffield, but they are also both run by the Webb family, telling a tale of familial passion, innovation and a steadfast commitment to sustainability.

In the late ‘90s, Dale Webb was working in engineering and product design at a corporate job. “I took up instrument manufacturing as a fun challenge,” said Dale. After an exhibit at The National Association of Music Merchants in Anaheim, California, in 1999, The Magic Fluke company was born. “We were casting finger boards and gluing these things together in our basement in New Hartford and it just took off,” Dale explained. “It was really a wild ride, it kind of had a life of its own.”
