LAKEVILLE — “Laddie,” Miss Virginia Thrall’s pet Collie, has disappeared, nothing having been seen of the dog since last Friday. The dog has the regular collie markings and wears a tag marked 50033. Any news of Laddie’s whereabouts will be gratefully received by the Thrall family.

SALISBURY — A pleasant party was enjoyed last Thursday by Master Paul Parsons and six of his young friends. Everyone had a fine time.
ORE HILL — Miss Mary O’Loughlin is assisting Mrs. Shaw at the Interlaken Inn which opens this week for the season.

LIME ROCK — Mr. Comstock, the grocery drummer, was in town Monday.

SALISBURY — Messrs. David Jones and Anson Williams, two of our most famous fishermen, are all tired out from carrying home the large and numerous trout which they secured on a recent fishing trip. If you don’t believe it, ask them!

ORE HILL — John Rowe and family have moved from Great Barrington, Mass., and are occupying one of the Salisbury Iron Corporation houses.
100 years ago — 1921
Richmond W. Landon the Olympic high jump champion, and Miss Alice H. Lord, crack swimmer of the Women’s Swimming Association of New York are engaged. They met for the first time on board the steamship Princess Matoika last July as members of America’s Olympic band of athletes bound for Antwerp.
