Salisbury was honored on Thursday last by a visit from James Hartness, Governor of Vermont, who, with his wife and a member of his staff called upon old time friends at Sunny Slopes. Governor Hartness was much pleased with Salisbury.

SALISBURY — Lester Hoysradt recently took a load of young ladies accompanied by the Rev. and Mrs. C.S. McClellan and Charles Coons Jr. to Norfolk for the purpose of blueberrying. They had great success, filling pails and baskets and had an enjoyable time generally.

SALISBURY — Twenty two friends of Nettie Morey met at her home Saturday afternoon to celebrate her tenth birthday. After several games had been played, the birthday cake was cut. A gift of money was found in one of the pieces. Many pretty and useful presents were received.

Several of the young folk at Twin Lakes’ summer colony climbed Prospect Mountain last Thursday night and had supper on the mountain top by moonlight at midnight.

SALISBURY — S. Millard Sanford is enjoying a week’s vacation from his duties at A.H. Heaton and Co.’s store and with his brother Amos is enjoying a motor trip, camping out wherever night overtakes them.
