LIME ROCK — Mrs. Harlow Merriman underwent a successful operation for appendicitis at the Winsted Hospital last Thursday and the latest report is that she is getting along splendidly.

SALISBURY — Several from this place went up on Mt. Riga last week to witness the devastation caused by the ice storm. While it was a magnificent sight, the sun lighting up whole forests of glittering diamonds, it made all heartsick to see the terrific destruction of valuable trees.

Word has been received from Mr. J.W. Cuineen, Superintendent of the Central New England Railway, that in the future the Salisury Station will be opened and heated on Sunday for the accommodation of patrons of Sunday trains.
