SALISBURY — Paul Cleaveland has gone to Brookfield to assume his duties on a large farm there. The family will go to Brookfield later on.
LAKEVILLE — William Stanton will open a lunch room in the Bates place early in April.

SALISBURY — Mrs. Frank Wright has sold her residence to H. Roscoe Brinton. Mrs. Wright will occupy rooms over the Garage, and Mr. Brinton will move his family into his new home about the middle of April.
ORE HILL — Mrs. John O’Holloran has had a telephone installed in her house.

At the present time while the frost is coming out of the ground the roads are in an unspeakable condition. Smith Hill is reported as especially bad.
ORE HILL — Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dean have moved to Sharon where he has employment.

LIME ROCK — The first sewing society is to be held at Miss Carrie Richardson’s Thursday. Every one is cordially invited.

— The sleighing since the big storm of Monday has been excellent.

LIME ROCK — Charles Cashdollar has resigned his position here where he has lived 34 years and is to move to the club house in Huntsville in the near future.

LIME ROCK — Mr. Wanamaker fell from a wagon and broke one of his ribs recently.
LAKEVILLE — Edward Webb Jr. has given up his position at Miss Jane Smith’s garage to devote his entire time to his milk business. John Finkle has taken the position left vacant by Mr. Webb.

Salisbury is getting to be quite a center of real estate transfers at present. William Dempsey, local plumber, has purchased the tin-smith business of C.F. Wanger and will move into the house now occupied by Mr. Wanger about April first.

Tuesday morning’s thermometer readings gave a temperature of 8 to 10 below zero, the coldest yet this season. A high wind made the day seem still worse and necessitated some hustling with the coal shovel to keep houses warm.
ORE HILL — Tony Genito has gone to New Jersey to work.

SALISBURY — Miss Doris Dickinson of the Gilbert School at Winsted was the guest of Miss Mary L. Cooper over the week end.
