Father Christmas visits the children of Sharon

SHARON — The Hotchkiss Library of Sharon invited youngsters to meet Santa outdoors and chat about gifts and wishes. The visit was postponed to Sunday from Saturday, when wet weather had washed out the town’s holiday plans, including the lighting of the luminaria on the Green. They are expected to be on display on Saturday, Dec. 12; no public gathering is planned.
