What gives with newspaper design?

The old saying that “art follows function” is being reversed by print newspaper editors alarmed over the shorter attention spans of readers who are moving to online news outlets. As a result, newspaper editors have ushered in a golden age for graphic artists giving them huge chunks of newspaper space formerly devoted to reporters and news.

Amenia honors those who sacrificed

The town of Amenia commemorated Memorial Day at Fountain Square with VFW Post 5444. Afterward, some of the VFW members were still lined up at the square. VFW Post Commander Madison Fletcher, far right, who led the ceremony, posed for a photo with her mother and her daughter. Fletcher is the first female commander in the Post’s history.

Trump’s Finale

Texas Congressman Joaquin Castro, a graduate of Harvard Law School, asked his colleagues: “If inciting a deadly insurrection is not enough to get a president impeached, then what is?” Ten Republicans voted for Impeachment, but 197 House Republicans disagreed. Trump incited the crowd in person on the Mall.
