PINE PLAINS — The love story that is Willow Roots in Pine Plains began decades ago when two teenagers, Lisa and Nelson Zayas, met and worked together at Nathan’s on 86th Street in Brooklyn. After dating for a short time, the two moved on to marriages to others, each lasting 21 years.
AMENIA/PINE PLAINS — The warm-up writing session at Mid-Hudson Youth Writers group began with the prompt, “Why is your novel taking so long to write?”, to which one member replied, “because people keep bringing me snacks. This is in my imagined, ideal world, that is.”

PINE PLAINS – Residents showed up in numbers on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Community Room of the Pine Plains Free Library to state concerns and their largely overwhelming opposition to a proposed 10-megawatt community solar project at Pulver’s Corners.

PINE PLAINS — When a town needs a bakery and a baker needs a town, if they find each other, that could be called heavenly. In fact, that’s exactly what it is, and the new bakery in the town of Pine Plains is called something very close to that: Heaven’s Light Bakery and Café, featuring International Delights.
