Seniors gather to enjoy lunch, courtesy of the town and deli

PINE PLAINS — Seniors living in Pine Plains spent a lovely afternoon among friends and neighbors as the town hosted a luncheon and talk on Wednesday, Aug. 11.

Arranged at noon, the event drew 35 guests who dined on a meal provided by the Moose on the Loose deli inside the Community Room above the Pine Plains Free Library.

Pine Plains 10u Allstars given parade for winning season

PINE PLAINS — After rallying behind the team on their way to this year’s state championship tournament, the Pine Plains community poured onto the streets to celebrate the Pine Plains softball 10 and under (10u) Allstars team’s winning season, including the Sectional Championships, with a parade and awards ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 8.

PINE PLAINS — Staying informed about the Hudson Valley Project (formerly known as the Durst Project) and its potential impacts on their community, local residents attended the first of two scoping sessions on Wednesday, July 21, organized by the Pine Plains Planning Board.

Serino in Pine Plains to help local businesses bounce back

PINE PLAINS — Motivated by a mission to help small businesses still reeling from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, New York State Senator Sue Serino (R-41) launched a Small Businesses Bounce Back listening tour the week of July 9 to learn more about area employers’ experiences and efforts to rebuild in the wake of the health crisis.


The Pine Plains softball 10-u team was declared District 17 champions following a tough home game against Pawling/Dover on Monday, July 5. The team’s victory over Pawling/Dover was just one of many wins celebrated in the community during the past few weeks. 10-u Allstars excited to compete for state title

PINE PLAINS — After celebrating victory after victory on the ball field these past few weeks, the Pine Plains softball 10 and under (10-u) Allstars softball team is now headed to the state championship tournament with their bats at the ready and the Pine Plains community cheering them on.
