PINE PLAINS — The Pine Plains Central School District (PPCSD) Board of Education (BOE) edged closer to the end of its budget development process for the 2021-22 school year at the budget workshop held on Wednesday, April 7.

PINE PLAINS — After receiving The Durst Organization’s latest application for the Hudson Valley project (formerly known as the Durst project) in Pine Plains and Milan, the Pine Plains Planning Board discussed the application and what steps should be taken going forward at its meeting on Wednesday, April 14.
PINE PLAINS — After much deliberation, Willow Roots food pantry co-founders Nelson and Lisa Zayas decided to withdraw their application from the Pine Plains Planning Board for a special use permit for a major home occupation at their property at 23 Main St.

PINE PLAINS — Local volunteers have been busy at the Community Garden at Pine Plains Town Hall, at 3284 Route 199, not only donating but delivering and spreading much-needed wood-chip mulch onto the garden paths.
PINE PLAINS — With several important dates in the 2021-22 budget development process coming up, the Pine Plains Central School District (PPCSD) Board of Education (BOE) focused part of its meeting on Wednesday, March 17, to reviewing the draft expenditure and revenue budget proposed for next year’s school district budget.
PINE PLAINS — On Wednesday, April 7, The Durst Organization submitted an application to the Pine Plains Planning Board proposing a 237-lot conservation subdivision on its 2,655-acre property west of the main hamlet of Pine Plains.

PINE PLAINS — For the second year in a row, the Pine Plains Fire Department helped get the community into the Easter spirit despite the pandemic by giving the Easter Bunny a ride around town as part of its Easter Egg My House event on Saturday, April 3.

PINE PLAINS — Though the forecast predicted a dreary spring day, area residents remained hopeful as they headed into the Pine Plains Vaccination Pop-Up Clinic held at Stissing Mountain Junior/Senior High School to receive their shots and protect themselves against COVID-19.
