Easter egging, in the age of the coronavirus

Because of the impact of COVID-19 on the Easter holiday — with social distancing rules and self quarantining forcing families to stay at home and therefore miss out on the traditional egg hunts in town — the Pine Plains Fire Department decided to go “egging.” Fire volunteers “egged” the homes of children, ages 1 through 12, living in the town’s fire district on Easter morning. Along with the Easter Bunny, they delivered candy-filled eggs and treats starting at 8 a.m.
