John Gail Borden

John Borden, 69, passed away on Tuesday May 26, 2020.

Born on April 4, 1951, he was the son of the late Albert and Virginia (Richmond) Borden. He was the great, great grandson of Gail Borden, founder of The Borden Milk Co., and named for his uncle who skated at the Lake Placid Olympics.

Timothy A. Williams Jr.

KENT — Timothy A. Williams Jr., 42, of New Preston, Conn., was taken from his family far too soon, and didn’t get the chance to say a proper goodbye on May 23, 2020, but the time they shared together will last forever. 

Timothy was born Nov. 9, 1977, in New Haven, Conn., the son of Joan (Glass) and Timothy A. Williams Sr.

Raymond Ivan Butler

WASSAIC — Raymond Ivan Butler, 64, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 31, 2020. 

Ray worked as a custodian at Millbrook Central School District for the past 23 years; prior to that he worked for the Taconic DDSO in Wassaic  for 15 years. 

Thomas G. Poole

TORRINGTON — Thomas G. Poole, 75, died Thursday night, May 21, 2020, at Hartford Hospital. 

He was the husband of Carolyn J. (Barber) Poole. 

Thomas was born April 13, 1945, in Torrington, son of the late Viola (Roberts) and Francis Poole.

Stefanie Joy Kahn

LAKEVILLE — Stefanie Joy Kahn, 58, died peacefully on May 21, 2020, following a long illness. 

She was born in New York, N.Y., on April 24, 1962, and grew up in Pomona, N.Y., with her parents, the late Paul and Anita Kahn, sisters Susan and Patricia Kahn and brother Laurence Kahn. 

Laurie Emberlin

LAKEVILLE-NORTH CANAAN — Laurie Emberlin passed away on May 23, 2020. Laurie was a lifelong resident of the Lakeville-North Canaan area. She is survived by her two children, Cathy Emberlin and Greg Emberlin. There will not be a funeral.

Newton B. Kemp Jr.

STANFORDVILLE, N.Y. —Newton B. Kemp Jr. passed away on May 18, 2020, at the age of 86, at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, N.Y. 

He was born on July 8, 1933, at Vassar Brother’s Hospital, to parents Newton Kemp Sr. and Evalena Thurst Kemp Hardisty.
