NORTH CANAAN —  Robin Nada Thew, 94, who died on April 30, 2020, was born on Nov. 30, 1925, in Westport, Conn., to a creative family.

Linda G. Sartori

AMENIA — Linda G. Sartori, 78, a longtime resident of Amenia, passed away with her loving family beside her on May 1, 2020. 

Linda owned and operated the Cascade Spirit Shoppe in Amenia for 25 years, retiring in 2004. 

Joyce Marie (Tuncy) Beebe

FALLS VILLAGE — Joyce Marie (Tuncy) Beebe, 77, of 10 Prospect St. died May 1, 2020, at the Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Canaan. She was the wife of William C. Beebe. 

Joyce was born Aug. 17, 1942, in Sharon, the daughter of the late Hazel (Pulver) and David H. Tuncy. 

Thomas C. Barlow

COPAKE — Thomas “Tommy” C. Barlow, 51, of Copake passed away on April 22, 2020, at Sharon Hospital after a sudden illness.

Tom was born July 25, 1968, in Sharon, the son of Wava (Begor) and Thomas Barlow and spent his early life growing up on his family’s farm in South Amenia. He graduated from Webutuck High School in 1986.

Joan C. Bergdahl

SALISBURY — Joan C. Bergdahl, 94, died on April 23, 2020, at Sharon Hospital after a period of declining health. 

Joan was born on July 13, 1925, in Shaker Heights, Ohio, to the late Ann (Deluca) and Tom Carvon. 

Barbara Lee Laney

SALISBURY — Barbara Lee Laney, 79, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2020, at Noble Horizons in Salisbury. 

Born on Aug. 14, 1940, in Helena, Mont., she was the daughter of the late Alice (Doney) and Alfred Fleury.

William ‘Bill’ B. Kremer

LAKEVILLE — William “Bill” B. Kremer, retired cancer researcher, oncologist, hospice medical director and beloved husband, father, uncle and grandfather, died at home in Lakeville on Sunday, April 19, 2020, from complications of myelofibrosis. He was 85 years old. 

Denise (Mauler) Kurish

SHARON — On April 21, 2020, Denise (Mauler) Kurish, 71, passed away in the family room of her home in Sharon, with her husband, Dr. David Kurish, by her side after a three-and-one-half year stoic battle with lung cancer.

Pat F. Argentina

MILLERTON — Pat F. Argentina, 75, a 22-year resident of Millerton and formerly of Mount Vernon, N.Y., died unexpectedly on April 27, 2020, at his home in Millerton. 

Mr. Argentina worked as an electrician for Local Union No. 3, I.B.E.W. based in New York City for 50 years prior to his retirement. 

Daniel E. Brazee

AMENIA —Daniel E. Brazee, 60, a longtime resident of Amenia, died April 24, 2020, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.  

Mr. Brazee worked as a commercial truck driver with Arnoff Moving and Storage in Poughkeepsie and Millerton for 40 years.
