John Branche Palmer

LAKEVILLE — John Branche Palmer, 87, passed away Sept. 17, 2020, peacefully in the comfort of his home in Lakeville.

Born in Sharon, the son of  Walter and Frances Palmer, John was a lifelong Lakeville resident attending Salisbury Central and then Housatonic Valley Regional High School.

Barbara J. (Deloy) Tadiello

EAST CANAAN — Barbara J. (Deloy) Tadiello, 69, died Sept. 21, 2020, at Sharon Hospital following an illness. She was the wife of William J. Tadiello. 

Barbara was born Oct. 30, 1950, in Great Barrington, daughter of the late Shirley (Garfield) and Ralph Deloy.

Alan D. ‘Dewey’ Merwin

MILLERTON — Alan D. “Dewey” Merwin, 91, formerly of Millerton, passed away suddenly at home in Johnson City, Tenn., on Sept. 25, 2020.  

Dewey was born in Sharon on June 4, 1929, the son of the late Seth T. Merwin Sr. and Hazel Meader Merwin.  

Joan C. Jacobsen

FALLS VILLAGE — Joan C. Jacobsen, 81, of Falls Village, passed away Sept. 25, 2020, peacefully at home. 

Joan was born May 17, 1939, in Great Barrington to the late Hervey and Miriam Bushey Wright.

She was confirmed in the Trinity Church in Lime Rock.

Gabriella E. Shook

ASHLEY FALLS — Gabriella E. Shook, 25, died Sept. 20, 2020, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

She was born May 23, 1995, in Sharon, daughter of Brad Shook Jr. of Texas and Betsy (Just) Perry of Goshen.

Adam Gregory Labshere

NORTH CANAAN — Adam Gregory Labshere, 57, of North Canaan passed away on Sept. 17, 2020, due to complications from diabetes.

Adam was born in Great Barrington on Jan. 17, 1963, to Joan Labshere and the late Raymond Labshere.

After high school, Adam worked various jobs and played the drums with several local bands.

Jeremy David Eldridge

FALLS VILLAGE — Jeremy David Eldridge, 36, died Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, 2020, at Charlotte-Hungerford Hospital in Torrington.  

Jeremy was born May 14, 1984, in Torrington, the son of Glenn Eldrige of Falls Village with whom he lived and Kim Hickey of Winsted.

Jean Secor Valentine

MILLERTON — Jean Secor Valentine, 59, of New Paltz, N.Y., and formerly of Millerton, died Jan. 19, 2020, at Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston, N.Y., following a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born Feb. 8, 1960, in Sharon, she was the daughter of Priscilla (Newman)  and Richard L. Valentine.
