Susan Jane Bohlin

WEST CORNWALL — Susan Jane Bohlin died in San Diego, Calif., on Dec. 10, 2020, at the age of 77. 

Susan was 14 when given a medal for “good sportsmanship.” Respect, integrity, grace combined with the welcoming of diversity and a refusal to give up determined the way she lived her life. 

Jean Marie Lee

FALLS VILLAGE —  Jean Marie (Logan) Lee, 84, of Falls Village (formerly of South Attleboro, Mass.), passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her adoring family on Jan. 1, 2021.  

She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Lee, to whom she was wed for the past 59 years.

Anna Belas

AMENIA — Anna Belas, 88, a longtime resident of Amenia, passed away Dec. 31, 2020, after an extended nursing home stay.  

Mrs. Belas was a secretary to the Safety Department at the Wassaic Developmental Center for 18 years, retiring in 1994.  She previously worked as a secretary at Pawling Corporation.

Marian (Shea) Smith

MILLERTON — Marian (Shea) Smith, 94, a 65-year resident of Millerton, died peacefully on Dec. 15, 2020, at Sharon Hospital with family at her bedside. 

Mrs. Smith worked as a health care aide at Noble Horizons in Salisbury for over 20 years prior to her retirement.

Timothy Granville Shaffer

MILLERTON — Timothy “Timmy” Granville Shaffer, 49, died unexpectedly on Dec. 8, 2020, at his residence in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 

He was born Jan. 22, 1971, in Rhinebeck, N.Y., the son of Timothy George Shaffer and Lida Lee (Shook) Shaffer of Millerton.

Susan Gyasi-Twum Flinn

MILLERTON — Susan Gyasi-Twum Flinn, of Norwalk, Conn., passed away Dec. 9, 2020, at Stamford Hospital following a courageous fight with breast cancer. She was born in Sharon, on June 21, 1961, and was one of three children born to Russell Flinn Sr. and Shirley (Meissner) Flinn.

Patricia A. Preston

WEST CORNWALL — Patricia “Patty” Preston, 81, of West Cornwall, devoted and loving wife of Jack Preston, passed away on Dec. 7, 2020. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Corinne and John White; and her brother Jack White and his wife, Gerri, of Torrington.

Mary Anna Booth

MILLERTON — Mary Anna Booth, 90, an 87-year resident of Millerton, and most recently of Rhinebeck, N.Y., died peacefully on Dec. 7, 2020, at The Thompson House where she had resided in comfort for the past three years. She was surrounded by her loving caregivers at the time of her passing.
