Jean Secor Valentine

MILLERTON — Jean Secor Valentine, 59, of New Paltz, N.Y., and formerly of Millerton, died Jan. 19, 2020, at Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston, N.Y., following a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born Feb. 8, 1960, in Sharon, she was the daughter of Priscilla (Newman)  and Richard L. Valentine. 

Rolf Schenkel

SALISBURY — Rolf Schenkel, 86, of Salisbury passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 10, 2020. 

He was predeceased by his wife Barbara “Barb” (Hill) Schenkel of Salisbury; and his brother, Gunther Schenkel of Switzerland.

Rolf was born in Switzerland on Aug. 25, 1934, a son of the late Gertrude (Sommer) and Henry Schenkel. 

Frances Marie Day

SALISBURY — Frances Marie Day, 92, died peacefully on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, at Noble Horizons. 

She was the loving mother of Margaret Day of Amenia, Glenn Day of Tarrytown, N.Y., and William Day of Valhalla, N.Y.; adored grandmother of Giuliana and great-grandmother to Valentina Rose.  

Joan C. Williams

MILLERTON — Joan C. Williams, 86, a 47-year resident of Millerton, died peacefully at her home on Sept. 1, 2020. 

Born June 2, 1934, in Sharon, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Harry and Margaret (Parsons) Card. 

Joan grew up in Millerton and graduated from Millerton High School. 

Benjamin A. Brousseau

PINE PLAINS — Benjamin A. Brousseau, 25, passed away on Monday, Aug. 25, 2020  due to injuries sustained from an ATV accident.

He was born on June 18, 1995, in Rhinebeck, N.Y., the son of Normand A. Brousseau and Trynja T. (Coons) Brousseau.

Richard H. Fife

FALLS VILLAGE — Richard H. Fife, of Falls Village in typical Dick Fife fashion passed away Aug. 17, 2020, age 82, on his terms doing what he was best known for, working hard. 

Dick was born June 27,1938, in Great Barrington to the late Arlene and Jesse Fife and was a lifelong resident of Falls Village.

William Michael Manko

LAKEVILLE ­— William Michael Manko, 68, of Lime Rock Road, died Aug. 24, 2020, at home with his family following a years-long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Janet Manko, publisher and editor in chief of The Lakeville Journal Co.
