Joanne P. Wojtusiak

CORNWALL — It is with the deepest sadness her family announces the passing of Joanne P. Wojtusiak on December 13, 2021, at the age of 77. Joanne passed peacefully in her sleep from complications associated with Parkinson’s disease.

Rosemary Allen

SALISBURY — Rosemary Allen, 83, of Salisbury, died peacefully at Noble Horizons on Monday, April 11, 2022. She was the wife of the late Myron W. Allen.

She was born in Manhattan on November 22, 1938. Rosemary graduated from high school in 1956 from Villa Maria Academy in the Bronx.

Nancy A. (Silvernale) Merriman

FALLS VILLAGE — Nancy A. (Silvernale) Merriman, 84, of 70 Railroad St., died Wednesday night April 13, 2022, at the Sharon Hospital. She was the wife of the late Martin Merriman. Nancy was born March 30, 1938 at the former Geer Hospital in North Canaan, daughter of the late Theodore and Janet (Rogers) Silvernale.

Cynthia ‘Cindi’ T. Labshere

EAST  CANAAN — Cynthia (“Cindi”) T. Labshere, 64, of New Marlborough, passed away on April 12, 2022, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington.

Services will be 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, at the Newkirk-Palmer Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life at the Canaan VFW from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Herbert B. Schwager Jr.

WASSAIC — Herbert B. Schwager Jr., 91, a longtime resident of Wassaic, died on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Sharon Health Center Center in Sharon.  Mr. Schwager was the Chief of Security at Wassaic Developmental Center in Wassaic.

Mary Judith Pellegrini

MILLERTON — Known by most people in Millerton back in the 1970s and ’80s as Judy Geisler, Mary Judith Pellegrini, 78, passed away on March 27, 2022, in Clermont, Fla., surrounded by her family.

Judy owned the former Sew What Shop in Millerton, which was a seamstress shop on Main Street.

Marietta (Gatti) Guidone

NORTH CANAAN — On Monday April 4, 2022, Marietta (Gatti) Guidone, passed away after a long courageous battle with dementia at the age of 73. Marietta was born May 24, 1948, in Great Barrington and spent many years living in and visiting the small town she loved, Canaan.
