John D. Noneman

KENT — John D. Noneman, 84, noted designer, artist and educator who lived in northwest Connecticut, died peacefully in his sleep on Jan. 29, 2022, at Branford Hospital Hospice following a brief illness.   

He was preceded in death by his wife of more than half a century, Patricia Green Noneman, who passed on May 3, 2021.

Keiven Murnane

MILLERTON —Keiven Murnane, 39, of Yulee, Fla., ascended on Jan. 26, 2022.

Born on July 23, 1982, he was raised in Millerton  by his loving mother and father, Ella L. Baisley, known to most as Lucy, and Frederick T. Murnane.

Catherine Sherwood

​SALISBURY — Catherine Sherwood, 86, of Salisbury, passed away Jan. 6, 2022. She was the widow of Stan “Stubby” Sherwood, who owned and operated Sherwood Nursery and Tree Service in Salisbury.

Cathy was born July 5, 1935, in Harrison, N.Y., the daughter of the late Loretta (Galena) and John Fennelly.

Charles James Flint

MILLERTON —  Charles James Flint, 80, a lifelong area resident died peacefully on Jan. 25, 2022, at Sharon Hospital.

Born April 2, 1941, in North Canaan, he was the son of the late Harry and Hannah Flint of Millerton.

George F. Wilkens

AMENIA — George F. Wilkens, 94, of Amenia, and formerly of Bedford, N.Y., died Jan. 12, 2022. He had recovered from a serious fall in November but developed pneumonia at Christmastime. He was the loving husband of Mary Ann Wilkens.

George was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Jan. 3, 1928, the son of Anna (Reischer) and George W. Wilkens.

Teri ‘Teresa’ Fournier Traver

HILLSDALE —Mrs. Teri “Teresa” Fournier Traver, 70, of Jonesborough,Tenn., passed away Jan. 12, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Traver was born in Willimantic, Conn., on April 5, 1951, to Margaret (Poirier) and Richard Fournier.

She retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a Mail Carrier in Duchess County, N.Y.
