SALISBURY — Michael Loening, 91, of New York City and Salisbury died peacefully at home after a short illness. Born in 1930, he was a true gentleman, with impeccable manners and a gracious demeanor. “How wonderful!” was a phrase he often uttered, expressing genuine delight.

Edna Van Sise

COPAKE — Edna Van Sise, 90, of Copake and formerly of Wingdale, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday Oct. 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April  9, 1932, in Mount Kisco, New York, she was the daughter of the late William Lane and Edna Terwilliger (Sisson).

Lori Jean Parsons

PINE PLAINS — Lori Jean Parsons, 63, a lifelong area resident, died Thursday Oct. 27, 2022, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Lori worked for ARC in Wassaic for over 23 years before retiring in 2018.

Mary F. Hoysradt

MILLERTON — Mary F. Hoysradt, 95, a lifelong area resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022,  at the Meadows at Brookmeade in Rhinebeck, New York. Mary was a homemaker and private housekeeper for many years prior to her retirement.

Cheryl Cortesi Downey

FALLS VILLAGE — Cheryl Cortesi Downey, 77, a lifetime resident of Falls Village, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at Sharon Hospital. She was the loving wife of 41 years to her husband, Kevin Downey of Falls Village.

Harry Joseph Jenkins

AMENIA – Harry Joseph Jenkins, Jr., 98, a lifelong resident of Amenia, died on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022,  at his home. Mr. Jenkins worked in the accounting field his entire life and retired after many years as the Controller with Sullivan Highway Products in Monticello, New York.

Thomas Henry ‘Tom’ Dean

MILLERTON — Thomas Henry “Tom” Dean, 85, a lifelong area resident died peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, following a brief illness. Tom worked as a laborer and equipment operator for the Village of Millerton Highway Department for over 29 years prior to his retirement in 1991.

John William Clouser Sr.

FALLS VILLAGE — John William Clouser Sr., 68, of Falls Village, died on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington from complications stemming from a long illness.

Born on April 12, 1954, in Great Barrington, he was the son of Floyd A. Clouser Sr. and Margaret R. (Winters) Clouser.
