Katherine G. Disbrow

MILLERTON — Katherine G. Disbrow, 105, a seventy five year resident of Millerton, died peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon. Mrs. Disbrow worked for Delson’s Department Store and Dick’s Pharmacy as a sales associate for many years, and also worked as a waitress and cook at the Millerton Diner.

George Thomas Smith

SOUTH EGREMONT —Mr. George Thomas Smith, 84, of South Egremont and South Harbor, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, or as George would say, he was “gathered up”.

Robert D. Harris Jr.

NORTH CANAAN — Robert D. Harris, Jr., age 76, died at home on August 3, 2022. He was born in North Canaan, graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School, and received his BA from the University of Connecticut in 1967.

Amelia Cortesi Downey

NORTH CANAAN — Amelia Cortesi Downey, 98, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on July 1, 2022, at Braden River Rehabilitation Center in Bradenton, Florida.  She was the widow of the late Paul J. Cortesi and the late Joseph P.

William P. Suter

SALISBURY — William P. Suter, 85, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022, with his family at his side. Bill will be forever missed and remembered for fearlessly following his passions and laughing his way through life at 100 miles an hour.  He loved spending time with family and found success within both Wall Street and the theater world.

Dena A. Van Voorhis

SHARON — Dena A. Van Voorhis was born on Sept. 9, 1956, in New York City and died on July 10, 2022. As a child prodigy on the piano, she was the youngest student to ever be enrolled and attended one of the great music schools in New York City, where she grew up.

Paul McEnroe

AMENIA — Paul McEnroe, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, passed away on July 12, 2022. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Hart) McEnroe.

He wrote this obituary a few weeks before, which is as follows: If you are reading this, I have already gone up in smoke (hope that is the direction).
