A different kind of parade

Ellen Moon, puppeteer of “The Golden Lady,” led a mini parade at Geer Village in North Canaan on Tuesday, April 14. Residents were able to view the parade safely from their windows. Moon was joined by two masked musicians, Arieh Saed on percussion and Nathaniel Leich on guitar.

COVID-19 testing BD granted approval for new rapid test

NORTH CANAAN — Hospitals across the United States now have increased capacity to perform rapid, on-site testing to screen patients for COVID-19, thanks to North Canaan’s own Becton Dickinson and Company (BD).

Thank goodness for the NFL

NORTH CANAAN — These are trying times. The coronavirus has basically put our society on hold — and part of that is that all sporting events have been canceled for the foreseeable future.

Hectic, but things rolling along as NC deals with COVID-19

NORTH CANAAN — First Selectman Charlie Perotti said on Monday morning, March 16, that all meetings of North Canaan boards and commissions are canceled. Budget presentation meetings are postponed until April 7 at 7 p.m.

All essential people are at work at the Town Hall, but no visitors are allowed.
