Celebrating renewal with a look at the past
NORTH CANAAN — Mary Palmer of Falls Village provided Great Falls Brewing Company owner Chris Tripler with an addition to the tap room’s decor on Friday, Sept. 23.
It is a framed drawing of the Union Station as it looked before the fire of Oct. 13, 2001.
Also on hand was Susie Clayton, a former member of the North Canaan Board of Selectmen who pushed for an economic development plan for the town during her tenure.
The rebuilt railroad station, home to the brewery, the New England Accordion Connection Museum Company, and The Connecticut Railroad Historical Association Museum, is an example of the town’s renewed economic health.
