BOOT DRIVE
9am - 2pm Intersection of Route 7 and 44, North Canaan, CT 06018. Members of the Canaan Fire Company will be asking you to help fill the boot at the intersection of Route 7 and 44. Spare change adds up and we accept any donation ! All proceeds go to support your volunteer fire company.

LIGHTS OF LOVE AND HONOR
5pm - 8pm Corner of Route 7 and Route 44 Green, North Canaan, CT. Honor someone special by purchasing a luminary. One luminary can be purchased for $6 or two for $10. A personalized message can be placed on the luminary. Take a walk along the path on July 16 to se your lighted message. The path will be set up on the corner of Rt 44 and Rt 7 (across from the Firehouse an church). To place an order please go to the Troop’s website www.scoutingincanaan.org and click on the Lights of Love and Honor link.

THE FAMOUS ST. JOSEPH CHURCH CHICKEN BARBEQUE DINNER
5pm - 7pm St. Martin of Tour Church, Main Street, North Canaan, CT,06018. Barbecue Dinner will be located at 4 Main street at the Catholic Church. Servings will include take out and eat in. Dinner will include barbecued 1/2 chicken, roasted potatoes, coleslaw, ear of corn, drink, ice cream and a roll. Price is $16 for adults and $10 for children under 12.

CANAAN FIRE COMPANY ANNUAL FIREFIGHTER’S PARADE
6pm - 7pm Down Town North Canaan. A Parade to Celebrate Canaan ! Calling all local clubs, businesses, sports teams and families to participate in a parade to celebrate and showcase the town and our residents. Fire Companies from the area will be judged for trophies and new categories will be added for the local participants as well. Floats, marching groups, vehicles of all types and any all around creative entry is welcome. To save your place in line, contact Maribeth Marchi at 860-601-3130 or by email at canaanfireco.1911@sbcglobal.net. Line up will begin at 5:00 Parade Steps off at 6PM. Roaming Railroad
6:30pm - 8:30pm Lawrence Field North Canaan Ct 06018. The Roaming Railroad will be back this year to give free rides after the Fireman’s Parade Sat July 16th during RR Days. Will be on the road in front of Lawrence Field around 6:30-8:30 We have two trains coming this year. Sponsored by Fairview Hospital & Canaan Railroad Days Lawrence Field Canaan Ct 06018.
