Redmond sentenced to seven years
SALISBURY — Ronald Redmond, 25, of Prospect Mountain Road has been sentenced to jail for numerous drug and other offenses. He was sentenced March 6 to seven years, suspended after two-and-a-half, followed by five years probation.Redmond was arrested several times last July, when he was found with cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He has since been arrested for larceny. He has failed to appear for numerous scheduled court dates. The sentencing takes into account several pending cases.Several years ago Redmond opened a computer business on Railroad Street in North Canaan next door to his apartment. Within a couple of weeks, he was arrested when drugs and a large stash of cash were found in his home. Among the charges was dealing drugs within 1,500 feet of a school.He has four cases pending in Waterbury Court from several arrests in Waterbury last year. Charges include larceny, drug charges and sale of illegal drugs within a drug-free zone and failure to appear.
