Blazers and Warriors face-off on the court

MILLBROOK — Millbrook High School faced Webutuck High School during a boys varsity basketball game on Friday, Jan. 13. The two teams battled it out and played hard, but in the end it was the Blazers who were victorious.By the first quarter the score was Millbrook 19 and Webutuck 3, the second quarter Millbrook 30 and Webutuck 8, third quarter Millbrook 42 and Webutuck 14 and the final score for the game was 56 to 23 — a win for the Millbrook Blazers. Head coach for the Millbrook Blazer’s Jason Zmudosky commented on the win and the season so far.“We had quite a few things go well for us, a couple things we wanted to focus on ball movement, cutting down on turn overs and that’s all stuff we were able to concentrate on tonight. Hopefully that stuff will carry over for the next couple of days. It’s been an exciting season so far this year, especially being my first season, the kids have been great. It’s not easy getting a new coach in here into a program but I was a familiar face, I was assistant last year and we are 5 and 3 right now. We have our first two conference games this week and it’s a nice start to a second half of the season.”
