Connecticut State Police Troop B

The following information was provided by the Connecticut State Police at Troop B. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Trespass arrest

Allison Drew, 58, of York, England, was taken into custody Dec. 11 on Ravine Ridge Road in Salisbury on a trespassing complaint that was part of an ongoing landlord/tenant dispute. The complainant was Brenda McLean, of that address. Drew was charged with criminal trespass and breach of peace. Bond was set at $2,500. She is to appear in Bantam Superior Court Jan. 3.

Car hits boulder

Laurie Fox, 40, of Lakeville was driving east on Farnam Road in Salisbury Dec. 11. At about 9:26 p.m., she drove off the right side of the road. Her 2007 Toyota Sequoia hit a boulder on the right shoulder. It was severely damaged. Fox was taken to Sharon Hospital with minor injuries. She was given a verbal warning for making a restricted turn.

No right of way

James North, 77, of Sharon was stopped at a stop sign on Route 112 at the Route 7 intersection in Salisbury Dec. 13. At about 8 p.m., he proceeded onto Route 7. His 2007 GMC Sierra collided with a 1999 Dodge Dakota driven south on Route 7 by Isaiah Harrington, 19, of Torrington. There were no injuries to the drivers or North’s passenger, Laurie Fox, 40, of Lakeville. North was given a written warning for failure to grant the right of way at a stop sign.

Unsafe passing

Beverly Draft, 57, of Salisbury was driving east on Church Street (Route 44) in North Canaan Dec. 13. At about 4:53 p.m., she attempted to pass a stopped vehicle on the right. Her 1997 Ford Escort hit a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Matthew Warner, 24, of North Canaan. Warner was stopped and waiting to turn left. There were no injuries. Draft was charged with unsafe passing.

Rear-end collision

Daniel Wilson, 19, of North Canaan was driving south on Route 41 in Sharon Dec. 13. At about 5:49 p.m., the 2000 Jeep Cherokee, registered to Gina Terwilliger of North Canaan, hit the rear of a 2006 Ford F150 pickup truck driven by George Holst-Grubbe, 58, of Sharon. Holst-Grubbe was stopped behind a vehicle waiting to turn left into the Xtramart. There were no injuries. Wilson told police the accident was caused by a brake problem. He was charged with following too closely.

Car hits mailbox

Anna Holt, 96, of North Canaan was driving north on Sand Road in North Canaan Dec. 13. At about 5:08 p.m., her 1994 Buick Century crossed the road. It hit a mailbox, crossed back over the road and came to rest in the northbound lane. Holt told police she did not know what happened. Her driver’s license was seized and forwarded to the Department of Motor Vehicles for a retest. No enforcement was taken.

Jewelry stolen

The Salisbury resident state trooper is investigating a report of the theft of jewelry from a home on Cobble Road. Dolores Dubois filed a complaint Dec. 16.


Michael Mulhern, 45, of Torrington was arrested Dec. 16 after a 9:53 p.m. report of a motor vehicle accident on Lime Rock Station Road in Falls Village. He was charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain the proper lane. Bond was set at $500. He is to appear in Bantam Superior Court Jan. 3.
