Library awarded grant

NORFOLK — Norfolk Library has been selected to receive a $7,500 grant from the Local Area Fund at The Community Foundation of Northwest Connecticut, according to Co-Directors Richard Dann and Robin Yuran. The purpose of the grant is to help ensure the library’s continued presence in the cultural life of northwestern Connecticut. The Norfolk Library is one of two five-star libraries in Connecticut as rated by the November issue of Library Journal. In the expenditure range ($200,000 to $399,999), Norfolk is one of only ten five-star libraries in the country. Ratings are based on circulation, visits, program attendance and internet use (all per capita).The library is at 9 Greenwoods Road, Norfolk.
