Connecticut State Police Troop B
The following information was provided by the Connecticut State Police at Troop B. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Anastasia Mullen, 23, of East Canaan was driving on Old Turnpike Road North in North Canaan Nov. 24. At about 6:45 a.m., at the Mountain View lane intersection, she lost control of the 2011 Nissan Frontier. The pickup truck rolled over. Mullen was taken to Sharon Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
Troopers responded to the area of High Street (Route 7) in North Canaan at about 9:38 p.m. Nov. 25 for a report of an intoxicated juvenile. A 16-year-old female was discovered upon arrival and reported to be unruly. She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. No bond was set. She is to appear in Torrington Juvenile Court Dec. 8.
Arrest in Dudleytown
Eight people were arrested in Cornwall Nov. 26 after a 1:43 p.m. complaint of trespassers on private property. The group was found on Bald Mountain Road on private grounds owned by the Dark Entry Association, known as Dudleytown. They were in possession of recording materials. It is believed they were attempting to film a documentary.
Arrested for first-degree criminal trespass were James Gifford, 29, of Marshfield, Mass., John Hartman, 46, of Franklin, Mass., Emily King, 27, of York, Maine, Douglas Kirkpatrick, 52, of Brimfield, Mass., Melinda Kirkpatrick, 46, of Brimfield, Mass., Molli Kirkpatrick, 21, of Amherst, Mass., Kerri Lynch, 25, of Boston, Mass. and Benjamin Wheeler, 22, of Holden, Mass.
All were released on written promises to appear in Bantam Superior Court Dec. 12.
Rollover closes Route 44
Marybeth Becker, 59, of Peekskill, N.Y., was driving west on Route 44 in Salisbury Nov. 28. At about 7:43 a.m., she lost control on a curve near the intersection of Twin Lakes Road. The 2003 Ford Escape crossed the road. It hit a guardrail and rolled over. The entire right side was damaged. The driver was not injured. Passenger Eleanor Zablotny, 101, of the same Peekskill address, was taken to Sharon Hospital with a possible injury. No enforcement was noted.
