Dinner, awards and honoring those who have passed

MILLBROOK — In a ceremony that was both somber and joyful, Millbrook’s Engine, Hook and Ladder Company No. 1 hosted its annual installation dinner on Saturday, April 27. About 200 people filled the meeting hall at the firehouse.

Not only do these dedicated people fight fires, they answer the call for flooding, downed wires, hazardous materials, ambulance calls and motor vehicle accidents, among others. The total number of incidents for 2018 was 844, and each was answered with professionalism, courtesy and a desire to keep all citizens safe.
