Whitney quits Charter public access

WINSTED — David Whitney, a local public access coordinator for Charter Communications, has quit his position effective this week.Whitney worked at the station for four years, taking the place of former Public Access Coordinator John Palinkas.Whitney said he is quitting the public access station, which broadcasts shows on Charter Cable channels 13 and 15, in order to start his own television production company.He said the production company would be located somewhere in the area, but not in Winsted.Whitney added that the company has not yet found a replacement to fill his position.“There should not be an interruption in station programming because we still have people working at the station,” he said.
