Allyne (Gade) Stimson Barnes
LAKEVILLE — Allyne (Gade) Stimson Barnes of Lakeville died peacefully with hospice care on Sept. 25, 2011, surrounded by all her children. She was born in Rochester, N.Y., on Sept. 24, 1922, and was the daughter of Ruth (Sibley) and Captain John Allyn Gade of St. James, N.Y., and New York City.Allyne attended the Chapin School in New York City, St. Timothy’s School in Stevenson, Md., and graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, N.Y. She was widowed three times: married first to Henry Branch, married 38 years to the Rev. Frederick B. Stimson Jr. and married 10 years to Robert Barnes. Allyne was active since 1966 in the parish of Christ Church Episcopal in Sharon.She is survived by her four children, Frederick and Amanda Stimson of Templeton, Conn., David and Louise Stimson of San Francisco, Calif., Faith Stimson of Medford, Mass., and Emily and Paul Sugg of Westwood, Mont.; and her granddaughters, Katherine and Hilary Sugg.
