Solar power project wins approval

NORTH CANAAN — A proposal to install a solar energy plant at the North Canaan transfer station won unanimous approval from the 65 residents who attended the annual town meeting on Thursday, Jan. 10, at Town Hall.

Brian Allyn was elected moderator for the meeting.

“This is a milestone for the town of North Canaan,” First Selectman Charles Perotti said, reviewing the bid process that chose C-TECSOLAR of Bloomfield, Conn., to proceed with engineering and development of the project.
