Talk of the Towne moves shoppe

MILLERTON — The Talk of the Towne Deli has moved a bit closer to the center of downtown Millerton. The deli has moved from its previous location in the Thompson Plaza (in the same building as the North East Athletic Club) to the Lotus Building (in the lot adjacent to McDonald’s).The new space is not only more convenient and prominent, but it also offers a lot more atmosphere. Tables are set up outside for comfortable outside seating. The inside seating is well-lit with large, bright windows.“It’s a better spot for us,” said co-owner Mary Hosier, who also noted that the business has already seen an increase in customers, including new customers. She also said that the primary reason for the move was to give the business more room to grow. The deli will continue offering the same services that it has since it first opened. It will offer hot breakfast and lunch items, homemade desserts (including their famous homemade bread pudding), fresh-brewed coffees and teas and Boar’s Head meats by the pound. The deli is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed on Sundays. The business can be reached at 518-789-8255.
