Broccoli Hall has three new ponds, Birdsong has a new water feature, Jade Hill has planted new unusual trees and Mead Farm House has a Monet-esque pond.During previous years the money raised from the garden tour has gone to buy more than 50,000 chionodoxa (“glory-of-the-snow”) and daffodil bulbs, which were given away to Amenia residents to enhance local aesthetics. Thanks to the efforts of Amenia resident and tour participant George Fenn, the group is now incorporated as a not-for-profit organization —The Garden Club of Amenia, Ltd. — and all donations are tax deductible. For more information about the Hidden Gardens of Amenia Tour or the Garden Club of Amenia, contact Diana Hanbury King at dking1066@optonline.net.
