Septic feasablity study approved
FALLS VILLAGE — The Board of Selectmen agreed Monday night, Dec. 13, to allow the Incentive Housing Zone Committee to use leftover funds in its budget to conduct a septic feasibility study of 6 acres of town-owned land adjacent to the new firehouse site at 188 Route 7 South.
Mechare said the study will not cost the town anything.
The selectmen also approved a contract between the town and the Northwestern Connecticut Planning Collaborative to prepare the updated Plan of Conservation and Development, at a cost of $20,000. Mechare said the money had already been appropriated at town meeting and added that the collaborative’s price for the job was the most cost-efficient.
