Planning Collaborative awarded $10K
SALISBURY — The Northwestern Connecticut Planning Collaborative was successful in obtaining a $10,000 grant for improved signs and wayfinding as part of the overall effort to revitalize village centers in the eight town collaborative.
Jocelyn Ayer said the activities under this grant will include a regional workshop to discuss signage and wayfinding needs, possible regional themes and designs (with the assistance of a professional graphic sign designer) and then workshops in the three pilot project towns — Salisbury, Sharon and Cornwall — to discuss the specific needs, locations, and designs in these towns.
Work will begin in January 2011 and be completed by September 2011.
All member towns will be invited to particpate in the regional workshop under this and future grants.
