Pink's World Series prediction
In the World Series between the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco Giants, it’s rather obvious that the Rangers look like the team to beat. They have an outstanding pitching staff, anchored by Cliff Lee, combined with a lineup from top to bottom that is as good or better than any team in the league. That’s a tough combination to beat.
As for the Giants, they can counter the Rangers’ starting staff with the likes of Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain and Jonathan Sanchez. In addition, closer Brian Wilson is top-notch. For the Giants to win, they will need to get great pitching and continue to find ways to scratch across runs. In the end, the Rangers have the advantage, but I’m going with my childhood favorites, the San Francisco Giants, to win the World Series, four games to three.
