North East Community Center: A celebration of the Latin culture

MILLERTON — The North East Community Center (NECC) invited the local community to take part in a vibrant afternoon of culture at the Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, Oct. 9.

Library, teachers and Oblong host Great Give Back for community

MILLERTON — As a way of giving back to the community that’s supported its operations over the years, the NorthEast-Millerton Library partnered with the Webutuck Teachers’ Association (WTA) and Oblong Books to host the library’s third annual Great Give Back event on Saturday, Oct. 16.

Vets thanked with pasta and praise

MILLERTON — Engaging in an annual tradition to support and thank local veterans, State Senator Sue Serino (R-41) partnered with the Mental Health America (MHA) of Dutchess County Vet2Vet Program to host a free Veteran Appreciation Pasta Dinner in Millerton on Sunday, Oct. 17.

‘Massive response’ called in for tractor trailer accident in North East

NORTH EAST — Police and emergency personnel came out in what North East town Supervisor Chris Kennan described as a “massive response” on Saturday, Oct. 9, to McGhee Hill Road and Route 83 in the town of North East.
