‘Booby-Trapped’ lecture exposes the history of the bra

MILLERTON — Taking a peek into a rather revealing history, the NorthEast-Millerton Library helped expose the history of the bra by inviting community members to attend the “Booby-Trapped” lecture hosted by Grounded Goodwife mother-daughter duo, respectively, Velya Jancz-Urban and Ehris Urban on Wednesday, March 24.

Millerton Lions Club disbands

MILLERTON —  After 72 years of bringing service and good cheer to the community, the Millerton Lions Club gave its final roar at its Friday, June 25, meeting as members voted to officially disband as of the end of the month, according to its last president, Maryann Belarge, and Treasurer Ed Downey.

Oblong Books has new logo, new name

MILLERTON — Oblong Books & Music has decided to ring in the summer season with a fresh new look, an abbreviated name and a few new policies that are sure to draw more customers into their favorite independent bookstore.


As a way to further illustrate the Terni family’s story through images and objects, a third element of the Terni family exhibition at the NorthEast-Millerton Library entails a collection of artifacts from the multi-generation family that moved from Italy to Millerton. Photo by Kaitlin Lyle

North East Historical Society showcases Terni family’s legacy with library exhibition

MILLERTON — Paying tribute to a family that’s had a lasting impression on the village during the past century, the North East Historical Society partnered with several local entities to arrange an exhibition of the Terni family’s legacy at the NorthEast-Millerton Library.
