Millerton police back on the job

MILLERTON —  According to Chief Joe Olenik, the Village of Millerton’s new police chief, the Millerton Police Department is back on the job. The weekend of Saturday, May 6, and Sunday, May 7, the village was patrolled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the weekend days, and 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturday and Sunday nights.

According to Olenik, “Sunday night Sgt. Veeder arrested two individuals wanted out of Poughkeepsie and they were also charged with possession of heroin, needles, crack and criminal impersonation.”
