I am a major league fan of the movie, “The Matrix.” For those of you who might not be, it’s a movie about how a future artificial intelligence manages to create an artificial reality in which humans live, well, artificially, all the while thinking it is real.

HARLEM VALLEY — Since the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announced the start of spring turkey season on Friday, May 1, hunters across the Harlem Valley have been coming out of the woodwork to talk turkey and prepare themselves for another exciting season hunting these wild birds.

PINE PLAINS — It was just last fall that internationally acclaimed choreographer, Pine Plains native and current NYC and Ancram resident, Mark DeGarmo, returned home and charmed the community by gathering volunteers for a community dance in the Pine Plains FFA’s Fall Agricultural Fair’s traditional parade.
So Gronk is back. Not surprising really because he always reminded us of an overgrown kid out there having a good time. When it was no longer fun, he was no longer there.
But where there happens to be is an important part of the game.

WASSAIC — Amid the constant stream of reports on the COVID-19 pandemic, New York fishermen found peace by the water as they cast their lines for the Opening Day of the state’s fishing season on Wednesday, April 1.
