WEBUTUCK — At long last, the Webutuck High School girls varsity soccer team exalted its first win of the 2021-22 sports season after competing against Stissing Mountain High School on Tuesday night, Sept. 28.
WEBUTUCK — Ending another week on the soccer field on a loss, the Webutuck girls varsity soccer team found itself at the mercy of Dover High School during a home game held on Friday, Sept. 24.
The Webutuck Lady Warriors faced off against the Dover Dragons on the field behind Webutuck Elementary School at 4:15 p.m.
The Biblical precursor to our game of football was a game called Stones. Somehow the editors of the King James version missed the reference to the game, but we football coaches picked it up some time in the distant past; and it explains a good deal of the strange goings on in our game.
PINE PLAINS — Following a vigorous game on the court, the Stissing Mountain High School girls varsity volleyball team found itself bested by Mount Academy on Thursday, Sept. 23.
Starting at 4:15 p.m., the team from Pine Plains went up against Mount Academy on its home court inside the Stissing Mountain High School gymnasium.
WEBUTUCK — Learning from their mistakes and refining their techniques, the Webutuck boys varsity soccer team will be working hard to improve their game during the 2021-22 season.
The team recently competed against Dover High School in a home game held at 4:45 p.m. behind Webutuck Elementary School on Thursday, Sept. 23.

WEBUTUCK — Working with a young team on the volleyball court this season, the Webutuck varsity volleyball coach is determined to build the program at all levels and make each game a learning experience, as was demonstrated on Thursday, Sept. 23, during their game against Millbrook.
PINE PLAINS — The Stissing Mountain High School varsity non-league field hockey team found itself on a winning streak last week after competing against Coxsackie-Athens and Our Lady of Lourdes in two separate away games.
WEBUTUCK — In spite of their best efforts on the field, the athletes on the Webutuck girls varsity soccer team found themselves bested by Dover on Tuesday, Sept. 14, and then by Millbrook on Thursday, Sept. 16.
I’ve always been a fan of Sisyphus; I mean who couldn’t be? The dude gets condemned to a death time of useless labor, and he sticks with it. Kinda like playing for the Orioles for all eternity but still batting .300 for the career. Heroic, even.
PINE PLAINS — Though they only had 16 players dressed for the game, the Pine Plains-Rhinebeck varsity football team earned itself a good solid win from its home game against Eldred on Friday night, Sept. 17.
