Webutuck girls soccer defeated by Onteora, 4-1
WEBUTUCK — The Webutuck varsity girls soccer team met defeat on its home turf after competing against Onteora High School on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
The game was held on the field behind Webutuck High School, kicking off at 4:15 p.m.
In the first half, Darrah Allison scored a goal for Onteora, as did her teammate, Brooke Burgher.
Over on the home team, Lady Warrior JoAnna Voigt scored a goal for Webutuck with an assist by Olivia Farnham.
Moving into the game’s second half, Kate Davis and Riley Fitzgerald each scored a goal for Onteora.
Playing as keeper for Webutuck, Emily Thompson made 10 saves while Alexia Melendez made six saves.
In spite of the girls’ best efforts in a hard-fought competition, Webutuck lost 4-1 to Onteora.
