Rhinebeck trips up Webutuck on the soccer field

WEBUTUCK — Kicking off at 4:15 p.m., the Webutuck High School girls varsity soccer team collided on the field against Rhinebeck in a recent home game held on Thursday, April 15.

The match was held on the soccer fields at Webutuck’s Amenia campus. Competing as keepers for the Lady Warriors, Cristal Domequez made three saves for Webutuck while Grainne Williams made five saves the home team.

Rhinebeck’s only goal was scored in the first half of the game by athlete Esther Murray, without any assistance. Ultimately the away team took home the win, with Rhinebeck scoring 1-0 over Webutuck.

As of last Thursday’s game, Webutuck had an overall season record of one win, eight losses and two ties. As for Rhinebeck, as of April 15, it had a record at that time of five wins and four losses.
