Pine Plains volleyball loses to Mount Academy at home
PINE PLAINS — Following a vigorous game on the court, the Stissing Mountain High School girls varsity volleyball team found itself bested by Mount Academy on Thursday, Sept. 23.
Starting at 4:15 p.m., the team from Pine Plains went up against Mount Academy on its home court inside the Stissing Mountain High School gymnasium.
Competing for the Lady Bombers, Emily Lindquist, a senior at Stissing Mountain Junior/Senior High School, made four assists, two blocks, two digs and a kill. Fellow Stissing Mountain senior Skylee Eiffert made two aces, a dig and two kills, while senior Grace Benziger made an assist, a dig and two kills. A freshman at Stissing Mountain Junior/Senior High School, Molly Eiffert made an assist, a dig and two kills.
With each set in the game, Stissing Mountain found itself at the mercy of Mount Academy.
Mount Academy beat Stissing Mountain by a score of 25-11 in the first set, 25-15 in the second set and 25-23 in the third and final set.
Overall, Mount Academy left the Stissing Mountain High School gym as the victors with a final score of 3-0.
