Lady Bombers beat the Lady Warriors in volleyball

PINE PLAINS — The Stissing Mountain High School girls varsity volleyball team was thrilled to add a win to its overall season record after defeating Webutuck High School in a home game on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

The game was held in the Stissing Mountain High School gymnasium, and by 4:15 p.m., the Pine Plains Lady Bombers and the Webutuck Warriors were ready to rumble.

Competing for the Lady Bombers, Haley McCord, a senior at Stissing Mountain High School, made four aces while fellow senior and Lady Bomber Lourdes Belanger made an ace, two assists and a kill. Stissing Mountain senior Skylee Eiffert made two aces while her classmate, senior Emily Lindquist, made an ace and an assist.

The Lady Bombers beat the Lady Warriors in all three sets, with a final score of 25-6 in the first and third sets and a final score of 25-8 in the second set.

While both teams put forth a great effort, it was the Lady Bombers who celebrated a win of 3-0 over Webutuck that evening, after an afternoon of hard play and leaving everything they had on the court.
