The great, ghoulish pumpkin paint-off

COPAKE — The Roeliff Jansen Community Library in Copake held a special library program called Painting Pumpkins on Saturday, Oct. 9.

Children’s Librarian Tia Maggio and her energetic group of volunteers set up tables, paints, brushes, water, paper towels and wet wipes in the backyard of the library, and each child got their own very own pumpkin to paint.

“They were so creative!” exclaimed Maggio, herself an artist. “We had about 44 children attend the event.”

Maggio said all of those who turned up to share in the pre-Halloween fun had a great time and let their creativity flow.
