All across America, many corporations — especially those staffed with well-paid lawyers — have seen an opportunity not to pay suppliers, not to honor contracts or, simply, to invoke a delay of indeterminate length to the performance of contractual responsibilities. How?

I just did my “Earth Day/Trashersize” clean-up on Gay Road, Millerton.
I filled a kitchen-size trash bag in one small area. This was not difficult and the satisfaction of seeing the outcome was worth the effort.
The truth will always come out. Or so we always thought. Human beings, raised on a diet of disparate cultures, different ethics and moral evaluation (often from unique religions), always need time to adjust to one another. We all need time to talk.
As our days of confinement extend into weeks, I’ve been remembering when those of us of a certain age, (i.e., old,) were confined to home and bed for what seemed like an eternity as we recovered from measles, chicken pox, whooping cough and other childhood diseases.
The global coronavirus pandemic has forced every man, woman and child around the world to live under a new normal. It hasn’t been easy — especially at a time when people usually join together.

The word liberal means open-minded, open-handed, generous. But in today’s America it is either a compliment meaning you feel for a more common purpose rather than the self or it can be used as a derogatory statement meaning you are artsy, or against the state, the flag and a host of other neo-conservative values.
