My experience at Sharon Hospital
One of the most interesting and enjoyable tasks of my tenure has been editing the opinion and viewpoint pages of The Lakeville Journal, and overseeing those of The Millerton News.
Some mornings when I first wake up I will scrunch my eyes closed and try to will myself back to sleep, back to that lovely dream I was having. It never works. I have no choice but to wake up and face the day.
If readers take note of a small item in last week’s column by Norma Bosworth, Turning Back The Pages, they will notice that I am celebrating the beginning of my tenure (this time around) at The Lakeville Journal.
The Dutchess County Office for the Aging celebrates 50 years of operation in 2023. We have lots to celebrate, and just as much work to do. Most notably, we expect continued significant growth in demand for services as the baby boom generation continues to age. Even the youngest “boomers” will turn 60 in 2024.
