One of the most interesting and enjoyable tasks of my tenure has been editing the opinion and viewpoint pages of The Lakeville Journal, and overseeing those of The Millerton News.
If readers take note of a small item in last week’s column by Norma Bosworth, Turning Back The Pages, they will notice that I am celebrating the beginning of my tenure (this time around) at The Lakeville Journal.
It has been fantastic to see our schools and area nonprofits and businesses back to holding open events, creating more face-to-face connection than has been the case for the past two-plus years of pandemic life. Isn’t it great to have school sports back full steam for all levels of competition?
What is more basic to the ability of humans to thrive than having a place to live? Maybe good health, which is always a variable. But a home is something that is more controllable if society takes it seriously for all of its members.
